Shengci is a Chinese language learning app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information we collect

Shengci does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, or other personal information directly.

Words, practice progress, and app preferences may be stored locally on your device so the app can provide its features.

Camera and photos

If you use text scanning, Shengci accesses your camera or a photo you select only to recognize Chinese text. Recognition is performed using Apple’s on-device technology. Images are not uploaded to our servers by Shengci.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Shengci may schedule local reminders on your device. You can disable them at any time in your device settings.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Shengci does not receive your payment card details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.

Third-party services

Shengci does not use advertising or third-party analytics in the app. The app includes dictionary and learning data distributed with the app.

Children’s privacy

Shengci does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
